Supporting homeschooling families in the Guelph, Ontario, Canada area.

The Guelph Homeschool Group (GHG) is an inclusive group supporting homeschoolers in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and its surrounding area, established to help member families make connections, share resources and to provide encouragement for home educating families. Our group is run by our members and reflects the diversity of those members.

In valuing and respecting each member in their uniqueness we honour them and in turn we honour ourselves.

Our events and resources are available to our members only, and in this way we are able to maintain both the privacy of our members and the quality of our support for them. If you are not yet a member of the Guelph Homeschool Group, and would like more information on homeschooling, or joining this group, we invite you to explore the public sections of our website and to attend one of our General Meetings.

For our next General Meeting we have invited a speaker, Dianne Geerlinks. Dianne will be presenting a workshop on recognizing learning disabilities called “Laziness, Late Bloomer, or Developmentally Challenged”.

The meeting will be at West End Community Centre in the Lions Lair (Room 3) on February 7th from 7pm-9pm.

GHG General Meetings are open to all members and to the general public, so please bring any interested friends. This is an event geared at parents and as always babes in arms are welcome.

A little more on Dianne Geerlinks – Diane has spoken at many homeschool conferences including KWCHEA and OCHEC on a number of topics. She has homeschooled her 4 children for 23 years and then ‘graduated’ to become an NILD Educational Therapist.

In the event of a location change or cancellation, we will endeavour post a notice here, so please check back in prior to attending.

The Guelph Homeschool Group is proud of its diversity and welcomes all varieties of homeschooling!

The love of learning, the sequestered nooks, and all the sweet serenity of books. H. W. Longfellow
